Seb Howe

Director

Seb is the Director and Founder of Codex Building Consultants, bringing more than 20 years of experience in building regulations and certification. His career spans both London and Australia, where he has worked across commercial, retail, education, healthcare, aged care, and residential sectors. Seb has been involved in some of Sydney’s most prestigious and complex projects and is recognised for his proactive, approachable style and practical expertise in building surveying. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Building Surveying, is a Registered Building Surveyor (Unrestricted) in NSW, and has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) for more than 15 years.

Senior Building Surveyor

Bilal is a dedicated professional with more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry, across both the private and public sectors. For nearly 5 years, he has specialised as a Building Surveyor, supported by his background as a licensed tradesman in Carpentry and High-Risk Work. Bilal holds a Bachelor of Construction Management from the University of Western Sydney and a TAFE Diploma (Cert III), and brings extensive expertise in building surveying across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial projects.

Senior Access Consultant

Trained in architecture and driven by purpose, Jhoana is a Senior Access & DDA Consultant with more than 16 years of experience in the Australian construction industry, including over 6 years specialising in accessibility and DDA compliance. She works across residential, education, civic, commercial, transport, industrial, healthcare, and childcare sectors, providing clear, solutions-oriented advice to ensure compliance with legislation and codes. Jhoana holds a Bachelor of Architecture (UPC), a Master of Advanced Architecture in Design Technologies from UTS, and a B.Design in Architectural Technology from TAFE. She is also an Associate Member of the RAIA and an Accredited Member of the ACA. With her strong foundation in architectural principles and Universal Design, Jhoana integrates accessibility seamlessly into projects, delivering outcomes that are inclusive, compliant, and visually cohesive.

Sam Pearson

Building Surveyor

Sam is a Building Surveyor at Codex Building Consultants, working across small to medium-sized projects in both BCA consultancy and building certification. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Management from the University of Newcastle and is building valuable experience as he works towards becoming a Registered Building Surveyor. Known for his approachable and client-focused style, Sam is committed to delivering clear, practical advice and supporting successful project outcomes while developing a strong foundation for a long term career in the industry.
